[NPC] LabTech is a Gaia NPC association that appeared during Halloween Events.

Association[]

Description[]

Lab Technicians were human characters that wore green caps and pants with a white lab coat, the coat is a red " G " on it, and white sneakers and surgical masks. They had light-skin and were individuals with different hair and eyes color.

Their names are their designation number with the title of 'LabTech' at the beginning.

Personality[]

The first set of technicians kept journal entries about their work days. They seemed to enjoy their employment at G CORP and got along with one another and their boss.

Abilities[]

All the technicians were able to create highly complex concoctions that could reanimate living tissue in deceased beings.

Biography[]

2004 LabTechs[]

The first set of technicians worked for NPC:Johnny K. Gambino and the company Map:G CORP, which is located in a different area but connected with Map:Isle de Gambino. They made their appearance during the [Halloween Event 2K4], the Zombie Outbreak, and were first seen in a private Guild making journal entries about their activities.

Two days before the chaotic events, NPC:LabTechX appeared in the Marketplace selling strange Item:Vial of Unknown Liquid to Gaians for 100 gold. When October 31 arrived, Johnny opened his mansion and allowed Gaians to have a Halloween party. At some point, the mansion's alarms went off and a lock down to occurred. Gambino made an announcement of it being just a false alarm, and everything went back to normal. Then, several LabTechs showed up at the celebration to have a retirement party for LabTech062. Suddenly, LabTech013, supposedly deceased for quite some time, rose from the dead and attacked several LabTechs, quickly initiating their transformation into zombies. The condition quickly spread, infecting all LabTechs, except LabTech123, who suspiciously didn't show up.

Now the real alarm went off. The LabTechs, who during the retirement celebration were in a separate closed room, quickly broke free and started attacking the Gaia users who were attending the event, causing them to take on the zombie status as well. Gambino, who was starting to feel rather uncomfortable, issued shotguns to anyone who was not a zombie, and thus started a battle between humans and zombies. As it turned out, the mysterious vials were the key to fighting the disease, each vial having the healing power to get rid of the viruses that could be found in one bite. However, even with the weapons and vials, the virus spread too quickly and Gambino's head of security, NPC:Bucho, initiated the Silent Flash protocol. This caused a large missile to be launched from an unknown location on a course for the source of the threat, Gambino's mansion. The missile made impact, and the mansion was destroyed, ending the zombie threat. Cindy Donovinh, from Gaia 9 Action News, made her first appearance, and gave a report on the situation.

2005 LabTechs[]

In October 2005 before the events of [Halloween Event 2K5], the "Manga:Gino's Recovery" showed LabTech123 had survived the events of the outbreak and was working at a local clinic. In "Manga:Halloween '05 Part 1", LabTech123 worked to rebuild G CORP with a new set of technicians. They ended up recreating the the G-Virus with the usage of lab animals later known as a Grunny. While basking in accomplishments, LabTech123 did not notice LabTechX releasing the grunny and sneaking up behind the technician.

Later, Gaians received an invite from Bucho to attend a Halloween Party at the Map:Gambino Mansion now owned by NPC:Gino Gambino. But the festivities were cut short as a 'Grunny Invasion' was happening. Users were informed to capture the animals in containers, however, at the cost of being mutated in a zombie known as a Grombie.

Once again the mansion, G CORP, and its secrets were destroyed. But outside the rubble a lone vial of the G-Virus laid on the ground. It was eventually taken by another form of a labtech an NPC:ElfTech.

2008 LabTechs[]

In April 2008 during a Evolving Item Report a technician named NPC:Labtech Gene appeared to examine the strange case of a muted NPC:Timmy latching on to NPC:Dr. Singh's arm. He ran some test and returned a week later to report the prognosis. He suspected the mutation was caused by a toxin relating to G CROP and stated that he could remove Timmy from Singh's arm and repair his DNA.[1]

While the surgery was a success Gene informed the hosts that an evil piece of Timmy escaped and might return.[2] In July, Gene returned to the show with a missing Timmy, Timmy had runaway and was being looked for. However, it appeared something was happening with both Gene and Timmy. They began to talk in slang and disregard Dr. Singh altogether.[3] This is right when the Item:Gro-Gain was announced and warned of side-effects to its consumers.

2010 LabTechs[]

In October 2010 before the [Halloween Event 2K10] event, a chemical dump of Byproduct 2113 resulted in the resurrection of the dead in a spirit form. These vengeful ghost haunted during the events and were eventually cleansed and saved from their fate to roam the earth. During the time a ghost of a technician named NPC:Labtech Rory interacted with the community. It appears that he did not know he was deceased until the very end of the event. He apologized for his behavior and eventually left with the other ghosts.

  • [NPC] Johnny K. Gambino was the boss of the first G CORP technicians. They followed his ideas and kept a form of secrecy about their experiments.
  • [NPC] LabTech247 was the primary reason for the zombie outbreak.
