Mecha Neko was a placeholder shop for anime sponsorship items. The shop was only accessible to residents of the United States. It has since been updated to be a shop accessible to all and holds items similar to its original purpose.

The shop directory and banner description is: A bountiful bargain bin of fabulous items for the thrifty spender!

The shop was introduced on April 2012, debuting with the Fullmetal Alchemist related items transferred from the La Victoire. The following sponsors have been Funimation and Aniplex of America.

On October 7, 2014 the shopkeeper announced a temporary removal of the current anime items, stating it was for an upcoming remolding of the shop.

The original shop banner description was: Uniquely anime-inspired clothing and gear.

Description[]

Mecha Neko is confirmed to be located in Aekea an industrial town.[1] The shop appears to be two stories high and the exterior is round with a large white maneki-neko as the doorway entrance. In the cat's left beckoning paw is the sign "mecha neko". Behind the cat's head is a cherry blossom tree, there is another located to the right side of the shop. The outside perimeter is surrounded by green grass with a wooden fence.

Shop exterior

  • The shop's outside is light tan and the roofing is red. There are orange lanterns hanging from the second story roof.
  • There are four windows, two at the bottom and two at the top.
    • The bottom displays various merchandise on two shelves, there are also a window canopies.
    • The top displays more merchandise and there are planter boxes.

Inside perimeter

Surrounding the shop are:

  • Four crates, two of which have figurines on them.
  • A chibi-style red mecha with the sign "Do Not Touch! Thank You"
  • Six capsule machines that are red, blue, orange and purple.

Shop interior

Behind the shopkeeper is a shelf full of items; starting from the left:

  • Magical Girl poster
  • Below that, plush toys: Grunny, Devil Imp, Kiki Kitty, and a Sakura Fluff. There is a purple object behind the Grunny but this can't be identified.
  • Left shelf, SDPlus Blind Boxes next to some books.
  • In the figurine shelf, Ivan, Daisy, Gaia-tan, Happy Melody, Kitten Star, NeoGaia Ian, Gaia-kun, Sheryl Orange, Azrael, and Magical Girl with Phee-chan.

Inside the Mecha Neko

From its debut in 2012 the shop has sold Chance Items of localized anime series that are distributed in North America. The shop's accepted currency is Gaia Cash. Its items are removed a few days after the announcement of the sponsorship's departure. These items, however, remain on the site to be used by Gaians.

Trivia[]

  • There is currently no Mecha Neko shop visibly located on Aekea's map area.
