• The Nightmare finished evolving in a Friday the 13th. The EI Report is actually posted in that Friday so it might be officially the day when the item evolved.

• Stage 1, Hypnos is the god of sleep in Greek mythology.

• Stage 2, pepper-tea made her turn at The Nightmare circus themed, due to what a "nightmare" it was creating Item:Reve Rouille because users kept demanding circus items. If a user equips the pose 'Adamas' from and turned it around, Adamas will look angrily at the user.

• Stage 4, Buer (demon) is actually a demon in mythology along with Malphas. Both found in Pseudomonarchia Daemonum.

• Stage 5, ethe focused her evolution around her fear of ghostly children.

• Stage 7, The poses are based on alternative names for the seven deadly sins: luxuria (lust), invidia (envy), gula (gluttony), acedia (sloth), superbia (pride), ira (wrath), and the last one is found in Phase 11 as avaritia (greed).

• Stage 9, an Alp (folklore) is a creature in German folklore who sits on people's chest while they sleep, bringing nightmares. Penanggalan is the Malaysian version of the vampire, which is known as Manananggal in the Philippines. Popobawa is an evil African spirit which means "bat-wing".

• Stage 11 reverses the order, with the additional poses for Stage 10 going back to poses for Stage 1.
  • The "You're Next" pose is a character that was later introduced as Daisy.
