  • This CI marks the canon statement that Ivan and Meredith are related, as in cousins. However, in the Alternate Gaia they are a couple. In the removal announcement it is stated that the conclusion mini comic has been described by the artist as being "largely irrelevant."
  • The design of the Dark Reflection Mirror is that of a rabbits head; it is a nod to the Alice in Wonderland character called the White Rabbit.

  • Acid Teru Teru Bozu, is based on Teru Teru Bozu, a little traditional hand-made doll made of white paper. While this version is black, the other Teru Teru Bozu is white, and came from the Item:Emerald Seed CI.
  • Alrunette, is based on the succubus from the Item:Alruna's Rose EI.
  • The Cardboard Back Wings is a humor poke at the Gaian population who wanted Backwings (and were told they would get them) since 2003.
  • Deluxe Flame set, is based on Flame set, a Gaia series item from January 2003.
  • Jack's Autohack, contains Matrix digital rain, a computer code featured in the The Matrix (series). The falling green code is a way of representing the activity of the virtual reality environment of the Matrix on screen.
  • Dark Lady Soldier Sake, is based on Queen Serenity from the series Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon.
  • Future Lady Soldier Gari, is based on Chibiusa from the series Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon. Particularly her Black Lady form. The first wig was released from the Gee Boi Turbo CI.
  • L-01 Automaton buddy is based on the influx of bot accounts that were registered to Gaia Online in 2006 and had the same default appearance.
  • Gaia-sama, is based on NPC:Gaia-tan. Gaia-sama is an Alternative Universe counterpart.
  • Kanoko's Dark Reflection, is based on Jim Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. An alternate recolor called Kanoko's Nightmares was released from the Luna's Incense CI.
  • Orinkage Hurricane!, is based on Prince Orin from the Item:Orindae EI, it also parodies the Naruto series. It contains a cloak that is similar to the Akatsuki and contains hair similar to Sasuke Uchiha. An SDPlus spin-off was released from the Snow Apple CI three months later.
  • Prunny, is based on the Item:Grunny, a green mutated rabbit. The purple grunny was mentioned in 2004, in the journal entry of NPC:LabTech101.
  • Reverse Panda Hat, is based similar to a 2003 Monthly Collectible called the Item:Panda Hat.
  • SDPlus #039 Frank Doll, is based on the NPC:LabTech character found in the MMO zOMG!. See Frank for more information.
  • SDPlus #122 Hatsya / #123 Cygnus, are based on characters seen in the Lonely Star CI.
