The Friend List is a list of all your friends on Gaia. Adding someone as a friend lets you view things that they set to only be viewable by friends and is a good way of preventing losing track of someone you know. After adding a user to the Friend List their username appears as black instead of blue in guilds, although not in forums any more after they received their last major update.
It first arrived on Gaia Wed July 14, 2004, but was activated Fri July 23, 2004, with an announcement made by kaia9 (a Developer).
The Friend List was last updated May 5 2008, where it gained a makeover and the Ignore List was renamed to Enemies. But due to complaints about the such titles, the word "Enemies" was removed.
