Currency is used on Gaia Online. It is something that is used as a medium of exchange; money.[1] Currency on Gaia Online comes in several shapes. The site offers the possibility to use both the in-game currency and actual money to purchase digital items, using such means as credit cards or Paypal.

- Gaia Gold (G / GG)
Gold the primary currency of use on the site. It can be earned through activities and spent in places, such as the Gaia Shops.
- Gaia Platinum (P / GP)
Platinum is the secondary currency used on the site. It can be earned through activities and spent in places, such as the Gaia Shops.
Converted currency[]
- Dollar (USA)
United States Dollars are real world currency that can be used on Gaia Interactive, Inc. properties.
- Gaia Cash (GC)
Cash is the primary currency of Cash Shops such as the La Victoire. It can only be obtained through real life currency transaction towards the site.
GCredits are a discounted feature and could only be obtained through real life currency transaction towards the site. The credits could be used for GStore and Gold Shop purchases.
Game currency[]
Are brown coins that are gotten by exchanging gold in Prize & Joy. These tokens can be used to play Gaia Games.
Are gotten by playing Gold Mountain games (Gaia Slots and Gaia Cards), they can be exchanged for items stocked in the Prize & Joy.
Are gotten by playing Word Bump, they consist of Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate.
- Wing Sticker (WS)
Are 'stickers' that are gotten by Gaia Events, they can be spent on items stocked in The Treehouse.
Are used for the GoFusion feature, they consist of hearts, stars, and diamonds.
